IN/OUT / 20 cm / 3D print in ABS, steel – digital modeling / 2026
The work “IN/OUT” refers to the symbolic meaning of the gesture of human hands as a distinctive, non-verbal form of communication and expression of emotions. The hands—their arrangement and contact—often carry a stronger charge of meaning than spoken words. They constitute an element of body language, a subtle and multi-layered space of communication, rich in context and sensitivity.
In “IN/OUT,” the gesture of two hands placed together becomes the central subject of the representation. Stripped of context and reduced to a pure form, it reveals the essence of non-verbal contact and emotional relation. The hands, positioned with their inner sides facing each other in a protective gesture, create a space of tension and focus around what lies between them—something invisible, yet significant.
This purified form emphasizes the universal character of the message, leaving room for individual interpretation. The contrast between the white inner surfaces and the anthracite outer parts of the hands refers to the dichotomy expressed in the title—the boundary between IN and OUT.
